It feels like I graduated from university just yesterday. In reality, it’s been almost 5 years since I swapped my notebooks and textbooks for a briefcase and entered the real world. I think I’m still in denial.

Resolutions are a funny thing - either you’re keen about making them or you only start thinking of them when someone asks you about yours – usually just about 20 minutes before the clock strikes midnight to usher in the New Year.

Alright, we admit it: most kids would prefer to see a video game in their stocking this Christmas than a cheque for their Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP). Chances are they don’t even know what an RESP is and they probably still think that money grows on trees. Oh, to be young again…

If you’re serious about making it to the NHL one day, hockey is likely the single biggest focus in your life. Many Canadian hopefuls leave home in their early teens to play in the minors for a chance to make it to the big leagues. As a result, continuing their education isn’t always the biggest priority. For many, it’s actually the last thing on their minds.
